Residents of Weymouth, Massachusetts have become vocal about newly constructed fences in the area.

Chain-link steel fences have been installed atop concrete blocks near local businesses and neighborhoods. Residents of the area are aware that there are businesses that could benefit from the fences but believe contractors could have used different material.

The District 4 councilor, James Murphy, has called for a review of the fencing issue in the area. He believes that a different material, possibly ornamental stone fences, could increase the neighborhood appeal rather than take away from it.
